CMS students light the torch of World Unity, Peace and Prosperity through their educational-cultural programme

December 18 : City Montessori School organized a three day Children's International
Camp at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium. They presented a wonderful medley of
educational cultural items and delighted the parents and teachers with their
confidence and talents. It may be mentioned that the three-day CISV Mini Camp
is based upon the theme of Environmental Sustainability and was organized by
CMS in which students aged 10 to 11 years from 18 CMS Campuses are
participating along with their team leaders. For three days these children
stayed under one roof and were trained in virtues like love, peace, unity,
cooperation and brotherhood. Various
activities were organized on environmental awareness at this camp. The mini
Camp aimed at making the younger generation conscious of the need to protect the
environment as well as imbibe qualities of World Unity, Peace and Brotherhood that would create a World Without
Borders and bring peace and happiness in the world.
Earlier the CMs Founder-Manager, Dr
Jagdish Gandhiinaugurated the ‘Open Day’ of the Camp. In his address, Dr Gandhi
said that CMS
is committed to imparting value-based education to its children apart from
textual knowledge and this programme is an expression of the same. This
children’s camp focusses on giving values like unity, peace, friendship and
brotherhood to children and also making them aware of the need for
environmental protection in an organized and peaceful way.
The CISV Open Day began with an all
Religion and world Peace Prayer. Students merrily participated in this Camp and
lit the lamp of World Unity and World Peace through various educational
cultural items. Alongwith their team leaders the students presented items based
upon environmental sustainability and blew the bugle of bringing about a Green
Revolution in the world. While on one hand it was a day of World Unity and
Peace, on the other hand the flag of Environmental Sustainability and a Green
Earth waved merrily. Director of the
CISV Mini Camp, Ms Monica Airon expressed her gratitude towards all the
participating students and their team leaders for presenting a view of a global
World at the Camp. She said that the values the children imbibed at the Camp
will help them throughout life to become a citizen of the world with a sound
character and upholders of a green revolution on earth.
