December 4 : The three-day ISRO space Exhibition is being hosted by City
Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus as the 'Vikram Sarabhai Space Science
Exhibition' on forthcoming 7, 8 and 9 December 2023. Addressing the press
reporters at a press conference held here in this regard, the CMS Founder and
renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that this unique Space Science
Exhibition provides a great opportunity for students, teachers and enlightened
citizens of the city to increase their knowledge about the wonderful world
outside the earth and get to know about the progress of India in the field of
space research.The Exhibition is being organized in collaboration with the
Space Application Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad.
Further, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said the Space Exhibition is not
only a source of entertainment for the students but also a learning experience
for them bringing to light significant facts and awe inspiring mysteries of the
universe. It was a matter of great happiness, he said, that the launching of
Spacecraft Chandrayaan II by ISRO will be an important part of the Exhibition
making us all proud of our scientists. The special feature of the exhibition is
that it will provide a godsend opportunity for our students and budding
scientists to converse and interact with senior scientists and remove their
doubts regarding space research and planetary bodies.
Dr Gandhi further stated that this event will focus on
various aspects of space science and technology and provide a grand display of
rocket launching in space for the public. It will highlight various space
achievements like Remote Sensing and Communications Satellites, Navigation,
Chandrayaan, Mars Orbiter Mission, Satellite Images and Applications, Models of
Camera of Mars Mission, Scaled down Models of Launch vehicles (PSLV and GSLV),
Satellites (INSAT, IRS, Aryabhata, RISAT) etc.
