3rd day of International Literary Festival 'Odyssey International-2024'

Lucknow, 2 September : The third day of the four-day International Literary Festival ‘Odyssey International-2024’, organized under the aegis of City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, was filled with the vibrant hues of knowledge, art, creative thinking and innovative talent. Participants from Nepal, Sri Lanka and various states of India highlighted different aspects of English literature through various interesting competitions such as drama, creative writing and film making, drawing applause from the audience while showcasing their creative and artistic talents. The ‘Odyssey International-2024’ is being held from August 31 to September 3 at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium, with around 500 students and experts from the USA, England, Russia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and various Indian states participating.

          The competitions on the third day of Odyssey International began with the junior category's Le Theatre Grec (Drama) competition, through which students proved their talents and versatility by enacting scenes from drama of the Renaissance period which was also the time of great English playwrights. This competition was based on the theme ‘Creative Outbursts of the Dramatists of the Modern Era in English Literature’. Similarly, the senior category’s Creative Writing competition showcased the students' imaginative thinking and writing talent. The senior category's Film Making competition was another major highlight of the day, where participants presented outstanding short films on various topics. This competition was based on the theme ‘Explore Literature that dwells into the conflict between traditional cultural norms and the pervasive influence of modernization and globalization.’

            Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head of the CMS Communication Department, informed that Odyssey International comes to a conclusion tomorrow Tuesday, 3 September at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium and prize distribution and closing ceremony will be held at 3.00 p.m. amidst a galaxy of cultural items specially chosen for the occasion. Ahead of this, a very attractive ‘Rock Band Performance Competition’ will be organized in the morning session.
