Grand Inauguration of two-day Inter-School Cultural Festival ‘Festivita 2023’ at CMS

December 19 : The two-day Inter-School Cultural Festival “Festivita 2023”
organized by City Montessori School Indira Nagar Campus II (UWS) was
inaugurated in a grand way here today at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium. Chief
Guest of the function and renowned Kathak artiste Ms Archana Tiwari lit the
lamp of learning to inaugurate the grand festival of talents. Addressing the
gathering on this occasion, Ms Archana Tiwari said that in today’s era, such
programmes are an absolute necessity as they encourage imaginative and creative
skills among the students. The festival is an earnest effort to bring the
hidden talents of the students to the fore. The programme began with the School Prayer
followed by an All Religion and World Peace Prayer. This was followed by a
brilliant chain of educational-cultural items that touched the hearts of the
audience and brought in the flavour of Unity in Diversity to create a rainbow
of talents blossoming on a cold winter evening.
CMS Founder and renowned
educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said on this occasion that this event will develop the all
round talents of the younger generation and also help in enhancing their humanistic
and spiritual outlook. Principal of CMS Indira Nagar Campus II and Convenor
of 'Festivita 2023', Ms Kanika Kapoor heartily welcomed the participating
students and teachers saying that the festival will go a long way in honing the
talents of the students and enhance their confidence and presentation skills
leading to the development of personality.
After the inaugural ceremony, the Melodisle
(Instrumental Music) competition was organized in which the participating
students demonstrated their musical and creative abilities. In this event,
students of Classes IV and V presented their favourite Cartoon Character with
music on Hollywood theme. Music flowed in the auditorium as the students
displayed their mastery in playing various musical instruments. The Fusion
Fantasia (Group Fusion Dance) competition was the most attractive, through
which the participating students left an indelible mark of their dancing
talent. In this competition, a ten-member team of Class 7 students showcased
their creative and dancing skills presenting their item in attractive costumes
on the theme of 'Unity in Diversity'.
