Participating students delight with excellent performance in Maths Quiz and Puzzle Contest

Lucknow, December 2 : The third day of the International Mathematics Olympiad organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II was full of exciting moments. While on the one hand students excelled in Mathematical Quiz and Puzzle Competition, on the other hand the mathematical games were keenly contested by the eager participants. Students from top public schools of Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and various states of India entered into fierce competition, each team trying to outdo the other with superior skill and knowledge.

               Competitions at ‘Matheletics 2023’ began in Group C today with the Mathsketeers (Quiz) Contest. The written round was completed today in which the top ten teams were selected for the final round. The written round brought to light the hidden talents in mathematics and tested the logical and numerical ability of the participants of various countries. A major highlight of the day was the final round of Number Ninja (Maths Games) contest. Classes III and IV proudly represented their groups and put in all their passion and energy in these games. There were 15 student teams in the final round. The games required quick thinking, mental calculations, smart moves and spontaneity of the participating children. Students from India and abroad participated in Mathdoku (Puzzle) competition with great enthusiasm. Today the selection round of this competition was completed. Selected students will showcase their mathematical talent in the final round tomorrow.

               Chief Public Relations Officer of City Montessori School, Mr Hari Om Sharma said that the International Maths Olympiad 'Matheletics 2023' will see its closing tomorrow. A grand closing and prize distribution ceremony is being organized tomorrow Sunday at 3.00 p.m at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium in which the winners of various competitions coming from different countries far and near will be honoured and awarded prizes. Prior to the award ceremony, final rounds of competitions like Confabulators (debate) contest), Mathsketeers (Quiz) contest and Mathdoku (puzzle) contest will be held.
