CMS Aliganj organizes its Annual Sports Day in a grand way


 

Lucknow, December 27 : The 'Annual Sports Day' celebrations of City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I was held with great pomp and show on the huge sports ground of the school campus today. On this occasion, students of pre-primary and primary sections mesmerized the viewers with their extraordinary sports skills and spread the message of 'India Fit & Young' through physical fitness activities. The parents were overjoyed to see the sports talent of the students. Earlier, the Chief Guest, Mr Atma Prakash, IOFS, Director, Sports Authority of India, Regional Centre, Lucknow, inaugurated the Sports Day by unfurling the Sports Flag. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Mr Amitabh Yash said that games and sports are an important part of life. I am extremely glad to note, he said, that CMS students are not only excelling in studies but also earning name and fame in the field of games and sports in the state and country. Renowned educationist and CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi called upon the parents to encourage their children to participate in games and sports and reach the pinnacle of success through hard work and consistent effort.

           The programme began with an All Religion and World Peace Prayer followed by various sports events in which young players and athletes participated with full vigour and effort.  They were bubbling with enthusiasm and were eager to express emotions and talents before the parents. There was tough competition among the students to participate and win medals in various sports fixtures and various interesting races. Students also displayed their talents in yogic skills through exercises, drills, aerobics etc.  The winners were awarded shields, medals and certificates. Senior Principal of CMS Aliganj Campus I, Mrs Jyoti Kashyap said on this occasion that Sports Day celebrations are an effort to promote good sportsman's spirit, cooperation and harmony among the children. Principal, Mrs Shivani Singh expressed her heartfelt thanks to the parents for cooperating in all school activities.
