Cultural Fest 'Festivista 2023' concludes with face painting, choral singing, painting and choreography contests

Lucknow, December 20 : The two day Inter-School Cultural Extravaganza titled 'Festivita-2023' came to a grand conclusion here today with participating students showcasing their creative and artistic abilities through a series of competitions on the final day. The students showed an immense desire to bring about positive changes for the betterment of society and usher a cultural revolution with their art and literature.The Face Painting, choral singing, drawing and painting, dance and choreography competitions provided the students a golden opportunity to display their talents and left the viewers awe struck with their charming abilities. In the evening session, the closing and prize-distribution ceremony was held wherein the prizewinners were honoured and awarded prizes and certificates. It may be mentioned that in this two-day cultural festival, over 400 students from various schools of Lucknow participated and proved their aesthetic and literary abilities.

            In the Pallette Parade (face painting) contest, students showed a lot of interest, with Class IV students giving expression to their thoughts with the paintbrush on the topic, 'Wonders of Nature '. In another competition, Choirap (group singing) contest,  Classes IV and V sang their hearts out and captivated the audience on the theme of ‘War and Peace’ sending a strong message of unity and peace. In the 3-D Challenge contest, it was model-making for the eager students revealing their creativity and social concern, while in the choreography contest, the all-round talents were revealed through music and dance. On the theme of 'Future of the world' students made imaginative presentations leaving the audience mesmerized. Besides this, online standup comedy by the participants was a great attraction. The competition’s theme was ‘Back to Offline School’. Students put in all their energy and enthusiasm to make their comedy really hilarious, sending the audience into splits of laughter.        

            After the contests, there was the closing and prize distribution ceremony wherein the winners were honoured and awarded shields, certificates and medals. Speaking on this occasion, the Principal of CMS Indira Nagar Campus II and convenor of Festivita-2023, said that culture teaches good conduct and good habits that last a lifetime and are even carried on to the next generation. This festival has not only increased the literary, artistic and imaginative qualities among the students, it has also brought about their moral and spiritual upliftment, she said.
