Priceless Pearl Scholars Academy, Nasik, Maharashtra wins Overall Championship trophy

 

Lucknow, 14 December : The four-day International Environment Olympiad (IEO-2023) organized by City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II came to a grand closure this evening at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. On this occasion, the prize winning students were awarded and honoured with medals, shields and certificates. The Overall Championship of IEO-2023 was bagged by the students' team of Priceless Pearl Scholars Academy, Nasik, Maharashtra while the Runner-up trophy went to City International School, Manas City, Lucknow and Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Kursi Road, Lucknow. It is worth mentioning here that IEO-2023 was organized by CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II from 11 to 14 December at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium in which students from Nepal, Russia, UAE, USA, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and various states of India participated.

               Earlier, the Chief Guest, Shri Prashant Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India, inaugurated the closing ceremony by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, he said that the changing environment of the present age is a big challenge to the human race, therefore, it is imperative that youth and young generation become capable to face these environmental challenges. Convenor of IEO-2023 and Senior Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus, Ms Manjit Batra said that modern age life-style needs greater effort towards conservation of the environment and everyone has to contribute to it. This Olympiad will create consciousness among the masses, to work in this direction, she opined. Co-Convenor and Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II, Mrs Sangeeta Banerjee, expressed heartiest gratitude towards the participating students from India and abroad and their team leaders. The prize distribution cum closing ceremony of IEO-2023 was resplendent with scintillating educational-cultural items, highly appreciated by one and all.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that prior to the closing ceremony, the participating students and their team leaders from India and abroad went out for a sightseeing tour of Lucknow to see the historical monuments and experience its rich culture. They visited historical buildings like the Bara Imambara, Chota Imambara, Residency, Ghantaghar and other historical places of Lucknow. Their presence on the roads of Lucknow presented a view of world unity and global brotherhood. In an informal talk, they appreciated the hospitality offered at CMS saying that they were treated royally with lots of love, care and affection and would like to come here again. Mr Sharma further stated that though the competition of IEO-2023
