Participating students eagerly display their hidden talents in Quiz and Debate Contests

Lucknow, 16 November : On the second day of the four-day International Science Olympiad 'Quanta-2023' being organized by City Montessori School, Chowk Campus at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, the participants from India and abroad showcased amazing talents besides presenting a picture of a global world society wherein technological advancements and achievements in science are progressing day by day. It is worth mentioning here that the students from 8 countries viz Russia, Brazil, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, Sri Lanka and various students of India are participating in various interesting contests of Quanta.

            The 2nd day of Quanta began with an enlightening speech of CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi. Addressing the gathering of students, Dr Gandhi said that this amazing event proves that the younger generation is not only intelligent but also conscious of the need to use science for a constructive purpose. Competitions of Quanta-2023 began with the written round of Mathematics and Mental Ability Quiz followed by the final round which was held in the afternoon session. Participating teams for the final round were chosen through a written round. In the final round of Acta Mathematica (quiz contest), questions were asked on different sections of mathematics and students racked their brains to work out difficult questions in a short period of time. There was algebra, geometry, arithmetic etc. all rolled into one. It was amazing to witness the electric speed of answering questions by some of the contestants.  A very interesting debate competition was also organized today on the topic 'Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Weapons are a Technological Marvel not a Moral Quandary' wherein the participants came from India and abroad were very zealous to put forth their views for and against the topic.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that competitions of Quanta-2023 will continue tomorrow on Monday, 17th November wherein a series of interesting contests viz written round of Science quiz, Aqua Challenge Race, Obstacle Robot Race, Debate and The Artisans Guild (Collage Making) competitions will be held for participants from India and abroad.
