Chief Justices and judges from 61 countries viewed the Taj Mahal in Agra today and praised the cultural heritage of India


 

Lucknow, 1 November : Over 250 Chief Justices, legal luminaries and distinguished dignitaries of 61 countries who have arrived at New Delhi to participate in the '24th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (ICCJW-2023)' organized by City Montessori School, viewed the world famous Taj Mahal in Agra today and praised the cultural heritage of India. After viewing the Tajmahal and other historical monuments, the distinguished participants returned to New Delhi where a warm welcome ceremony and dinner for all the guests was organized by the National Spiritual Assembly (NSA) of the Baha'is of India at the Bahai House. Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr Ajay Kumar Mishra enhanced the dignity of the function by attending as the chief guest. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma.

            Mr Sharma stated that tomorrow on 2nd November at 10.00 am, the procession of Hon’ble Chief Justices and distinguished guests will proceed to the Rajghat to offer wreaths on the Samadhi of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Then, at 12.30 pm, the honourable Guests will address the first session of the International Conference of Chief Justices of the World at the Constitution Club of India. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Culture, Govt. of India, Ms Meenakshi Lekhi will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. On the same day at 4.00 pm., the high dignitaries will visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi and have some refreshments there. On 3rd November, the honourable World Judiciary will arrive at Amausi Airport in Lucknow.

            Mr Sharma informed that the 61 participating countries in this international conference comprise Albania, Angola, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Benin, Bosnia Herzegovina, Botswana, Brazil, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Croatia, Congo, Ecuador, Egypt, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Guinea, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Kiribati, Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Malawi, Malta, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Norway, Peru, Sao Tome and Principe, South Korea, South Sudan, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tchad, Togo, Tunisia, United Kingdom, USA, Venezuela, Zambia and India.
