Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Brajesh Pathak inaugurates International Science Olympiad Quanta-2023

The 4-day International Science Olympiad 'Quanta-2023' organized by City
Montessori School, Chowk Campus was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri
Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of UP, today at CMS Kanpur Road
auditorium amidst a grand opening ceremony. The presence of young scientists
from 8 countries viz Russia, Brazil, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, Sri
Lanka and various states of India created a mini world filled with the feelings
of unity and brotherhood. On this occasion, CMS students presented a
scintillating educational-cultural programme in honour of the experts and young
scientists arrived from various countries. It is worth mentioning here that
Quanta-2023 is being organized from 15 to 18 November.
Speaking at the inaugural function,
the Chief Guest, Shri Brajesh Pathak said that progress in science is the surest way
towards human development. If we have to bring quality in our lives, it is
necessary to take help from science and technological progress. While praising
this mega event, he said that it is a unique way to unleash the talents of
young scientists. CMS Founder, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi said on this occasion that
this Olympiad will inspire young scientists to use science for the welfare of
humanity. Convenor of Quanta-2023 and Principal of CMS Chowk Campus, Mrs
Aditi Sharma while welcoming the Chief Guest and other eminent guests said that
the world has great expectations from young scientists and this science
olympiad endeavours to make their dreams come true by igniting the spirit of
inquiry and encouraging rich exchange of ideas in their inquisitive minds.
Earlier,
the delegates from different countries of the world, who stepped on the soil of
Lucknow to be a part of 'Quanta-2023', met with the media persons in the
afternoon today at a press conference and spoke freely and expressed their
views on this mega event. the students from Student Research Centers, Germany said that we need to
develop feelings of peace, love and compassion in young scientists and for
this, 'Quanta' is the best international platform. Students from Moscow
Chemical Lyceum, Russia, said that all the scientists would have to think
about the ways and means of using science in order to work towards the welfare
of humanity. Students' team from Orchid College, Nepal opined that a
change in the outlook of scientists is desirable for the establishment of world
peace. Students of Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, Thailand believed that
such science olympiad encourage students to work for the benefit of humanity.
Similarily, many other participating students also expressed their views.
