Lucknow girl bags prestigious Fulbright Scholarship

 Lucknow, August 8 : Amrita Sharma, alumna of City Montessori School Aliganj Campus and currently doing PhD in English at Lucknow University, has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. Amrita completed her class XII (ISC) with 91.3% percent marks. 'Amrita was an exceptional  student throughout her years in CMS', fondly recalls Mrs Jyoti Kashyap, Senior Principal of CMS Aliganj Campus I.The Fulbright scholarship offers scholars opportunity to study or teach. Its objective is promotion of international goodwill through exchange of students in the fields of education, culture, and science.

Amrita will be joining the University of Notre Dame, USA under the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Programme (Fulbright FLTA Programme) this month. She will teach her native language, Hindi, at selected U.S. campuses during her nine-month grant period.Amrita is pursuing her PhD in English from Lucknow University and has recently submitted her thesis on the topic, ‘Language, Poetry and Innovation: A study of the language school of American Poetry’.Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Founder Manager of CMS, congratulated Amrita and said “it is a delight to see our students achieve tremendous success in their careers”.

CMS student excels in IGCSE (Cambridge Board) exams

Lucknow, June 2 : Anahita Singh, a student of City Montessor School, Cambridge International Section, has brought laurels for the school by getting 7 A*s and 3 As in the very competitive International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the Cambridge curriculum's equivalent of a grade-10 qualification.         Anahita says, "I had been hoping for a good score, but could never have imagines that I would get 7 A*s. It is definitely very reassuring. So yes, I am very happy, to say the least".         A deep fascination with learning has been at the very core of all Anahita's achievemnets. Government of India to award Rs 88 lakh INSPIRE Scholarship to 22 CMS students

Lucknow, 2 July : As many as 22 meritorious students of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I have been awarded the INSPIRE scholarship worth Rs. 88 lakhs by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, wherein each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh for five years. This scholarship will be given to CMS students to pursue higher studies in Science. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna further informed that each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh in five years (Rs 80,000/- per year), amounting to Rs 88 lakhs scholarship for all the 22 students.
