CMS is doing all round development of the students- Dr Mahendra Singh, Minister, UP


Lucknow, August 28 : The four-day long International festival of History & Civics, ‘Reflections 2021’ being organised online by CMS Mahanagar Campus was inaugurated today by Hon’ble Dr Mahendra Singh, Minister for Jal Shakti and Flood Control, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Student teams from Mauritius, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and various parts of India are participating in this international event. The scintilating educational-cultural items presented by CMS students at the inauguration in honour of the participating teams mesmerised all the participants. During the course of these four days, the participants will compete in a series of interesting competitions like quiz, extempore, symposium, debate, group discussion, project of community services and flash drama which will not only test their knowledge of history but will also give them a peek into each other’s culture and help them develop bonds of friendship with each other.

        Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr Mahendra Singh appreciated the CMS initiative and said that CMS is doing overall development of its students by spreading awareness about our rich culture and history. It is absolutely important to make the students aware of our history so that they understand and undertake their responsibilities in this modern era. Students presented colourful mesmerising events like School Prayer, World Parliament, Group Singing, Choreography, World Unity Prayer, All Religion Prayer, and Prayer dance which enthralled everyone in the audience.

        CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi wished success for the participants from India and abroad and said that history is full of inspirational events. It is upto us to learn from our history and create a sustainable global society for humanity. Dr Gandhi expressed his firm belief that this event will be highly instrumental in spreading the message of unity, peace and brotherhood among the participants from all over the world. Expressing her thoughts at the event, President and MD of CMS, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that the onus is on the young generation to give a new positive direction to the society and therefore it is important that students of different nations express their views with confidence on an international platform. Founder Director, Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi and Chief Executive Officer of CMS, Mr Roshan Gandhi also expressed their views on the occasion. Earlier, the convenor of ‘Reflections 2021’ and Principal of CMS Mahanagar Campus, Dr Kalpana Tripathi welcomed the Chief Guest, other dignitaries, participating students and teachers and said that this event will play an important role in spreading awareness about world unity and brotherhood among all the participants.
