International English Literature Olympiad Odyssey International 2021 concludes in a grand way

Lucknow, August 14 : The 4-day International English Literature Olympiad 'Odyssey International 2021' organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I came to a grand conclusion with a resolve by participating students from India and abroad to spread the message of world unity and world peace to all corners of the world. The winners of various competitions held during the four days of the Olympiad were announced in the online closing ceremony held amidst a colourful educational-cultural programme. While on one hand, student team of Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar proved their supremacy by winning the Overall Championship of Odyssey International 2021, the host team grabbed the seniors' championship and Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar took away the championship in junior category. It may be mentioned that around 35 student teams from South Africa, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Nepal, Kuwait, Germany, Indonesia and various states of India displayed their all-round talents at this Olympiad held online from 11 to 14 August 2021.

            While on one hand, students of Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar won the first prize in La Poesie (Poetry writing) and Kino Teatras (Cinematics) competitions, on the other hand, students of Gwalior Glory High School, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh won the first prize of Entrancing De Danza (Choreography) and Exotica Recitazione (Drama) competitions. Similarly, the first prize of Styliste Modeliste (Character in the Costume) competition was won by W.H. Smith Memorial School, Varanasi; the first prize of La Deliberation (Debate) contest was won by Delhi Public School, Bhopal; the firs prize of Talent Artistique (Cartoons making) competiton was won by CMS Rajajipuram Campus I and the first prize of La Chorale (Choir) competition was won by Horizon College International, Sri Lanka.

            Speaking at the closing-cum- prize distribution ceremony of Odyssey International 2021, Founder of CMS and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that the wave of world unity which has begun here at this Olympiad must not stop here. It should continue to spread in all directions of the world. CMS Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi praised the young participants by saying that these small packages of talents would indeed spread peace and unity in the world. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and Chief Executive Officer of CMS, Mr Roshan Gandhi too put up their views on the occasion.

            Presenting a vote of thanks towards all the participating students, teachers and esteemed guests, Convener of Odyssey International 2021 and Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs Nisha Pandey said that this Olympiad has proved to be a major milestone in developing students' potential.
