157 Students take SAT exam at CMS

Lucknow, August 29 : 157 students from Uttar Pradesh and adjoining states took the SAT exam held on Saturday at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus 1, which is the only SAT exam centre in Uttar Pradesh. This allows students to sit the SAT in Lucknow itself rather than having to go to Delhi.

CMS President and MD, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said, “SAT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the US. Around 22 lakh students take the SAT exam globally every year, though in this pandemic-affected year, only 17 lakh students took the exam. Apart from being the only SAT exam centre in UP, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I is also an Advanced Placement (AP) exam centre.”

CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi said, “CMS realises that a high proportion of students aspire to join IITs and top medical colleges of the country but all cannot get there, despite being very bright. Recognising this shortage of supply of well-regarded higher education institutions within the country, we applied for and became a SAT examination centre affiliated to College Board USA. It opens for our students the opportunity and option to study abroad, should they wish to”
