Participants display their unique talents in role play and musical drama

Lucknow, 10 September : The three day International Cosplay Competition 'Fantasm 2023' organized by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I was an outpour of talents in music, drama, story-telling and all that’s best and brightest in school life. Students of pre-primary, primary and junior classes revealed their acting skills, imaginative ability and stage confidence through a series of exciting competitions. Fantasies were brought alive as the characters of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and other fairy tales performed on stage. The main objective of organizing this competition, said the Senior Principal and Convenor of the show, Mrs Jayashree Krishnan, was to encourage the all round personality development of children and give a boost to their passions and fantasies which may well shape their future careers.

            The day's programme began with the ‘La Sucession’ (Drama) competition in which the student teams disguised themselves as characters of the Anime series and presented themselves in their own unique style. The expressions, acting and colourful presentation by the tiny tots won the hearts of the viewers. Budding young artistes of the primary section spilled their acting talents on stage and delighted the audience with their histrionics. Similarly in the 'Tema Musical' (Singing) competition, the Primary and Junior classes presented a medley of self composed songs and filled the air with their musical rendition. The spectators were mesmerized listening to their melodious compositions. In La Novela (Theatrical adaptation of novel) competition, students of Classes VI, VII and VIII enacted the stories of celebrated writer Ruskin Bond on stage. It was marvellous to witness the confidence and realistic acting of these students. There was loud clapping and cheering after each item. In the Cuentista (Quiz) competition, the written round was held today in which two students of each team participated. The final round participants were selected on the basis of the written round. Besides this, there was the Caricaturas (enact their favourite cartoon or fairy character) and Super Actores (Role Play of superhero or heroine) competitions were organized in which students of various countries participated gleefully by sending their entries through videos.
