Participating teams exhibited excellent argumentative skills and knowledge of legal matters

Lucknow, 2 September : City Montessori School Gomti Nagar Campus I organized a grand ‘Inter-school Moot Court Competition’ at its auditorium. The event witnessed the presence of law professors arrived here from across the renowned universities of India to apprise students of their experiences and nuances of legal points, whereas participating students mesmerized all with their knowledge of law, logical and argumentative skills, and analytical and presentation skills. The competition had 22 teams of participating schools from Lucknow. The competition was organized jointly with the B. M. L. University to hone and test students’ thinking ability, communication skills, logical and critical thinking, etc. and move ahead to contribute to societal progress, leading to a peaceful world order. 

            Professional legal experts lit the lamp of justice to formally inaugurate the event. In his keynote address, Dr Preetam Barua, Dean, the School of Law said that this event will increase the skills of logical thinking, thinking skills to present legal matters with confidence, and their ability to research. The convenor and Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Mrs Abha Anant welcomed the esteemed guests and encouraged all the participants to compete with confidence and team spirit.

            The Inter-school Moot Court Competition showed a simulation of a real court with complainants and respondents presenting arguments. Each court session had three students in the complainant team and three in respondents presenting strong arguments to conserve the environment, sustainable development, illegal mining, and industrialization. The students were well-prepared with their points and had researched well. Their presentation kept the listeners spellbound. The participating schools comprised various campuses of City Montessori School, La Martinere Girls’ College, A. R, Jaipuria, Delhi Public School, Eldeco, La Martiniere College, and Gurukul Academy.
