Curtains draw on International Cosplay Competition, ‘Fantasm 2023’

Lucknow, September 12 : The three-day International Cosplay Competition, ‘Fantasm 2023’ organized by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I came to a close here today. The winners of various competitions were awarded prizes this evening in a scintillating educational-cultural closing ceremony held at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Students team of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I proved their supremacy by winning the Overall Championship of Fantasm-2023, while A R Jaipuria School, Golf City, Lucknow was the runner-up. The objective of ‘Fantasm 2023’ was to provide an international platform to the students of pre-primary, primary and junior classes where they could display their knowledge, skills and talents in an environment of healthy competition. Students from various noted schools of United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Sharjah, Dubai and various states of India participated and competed in various competitions in this three-day event.

             Chief Guest, Shri Anuj Raj, Zonal Head and Senior Vice-President, HDFC Bank, inaugurated the closing ceremony by lighting the lamp of learning, Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Shri Anuj Raj profusely priased the talents of students saying that such events play an important role in bringing out the versatile talents of the students.   CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said on this occasion that the process of showcasing the skills and talents of the students which had started with this event should not stop now and continue even after in other events. He expressed satisfaction that this event has proved to be extremely beneficial for the overall development of students. Expressing her heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, their teachers and other invitees, Convenor of ‘Fantasm 2023’ and Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Mrs Jayshree Krishnan said that the manner in which the creative talent of all the participants students has come to the fore in this event is unmatched in itself. These children will go on to work for the welfare of all humanity in future.

             Earlier, competitions at the morning session began with the La Imaginacion (Doodle making) contest, giving an opportunity to the students of the sub-junior category to exhibit their creative thinking, imagination and artistic talent. The participating students used pencils and colours to portray their art of creating wonderful doodles and mesmerized everyone with their skills and spontaneity. 21 teams participated in this event. Similarly, in the final round of Cuentista (Quiz contest) students’ knowledge was amazing, as they proved their worth with 8 teams qualifying for the final round. The audience enjoyed the question-answer session and the participants were quite prompt in replying to the questions related to children’s books authors and cartoons.
