Prizes worth Rs. 1.5 Crore given to most deserving CMS teachers on Teachers Day

Lucknow, September 5: City Montessori School organized grand Teachers Day Celebrations at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium here today. The programme began with the lamp lighting ceremony and garlanding the portrait of great teacher-philosopher, former President of India, Bharat Ratna, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Adding to the luminosity of the occasion was the auspicious presence of Deputy Chief Minister of UP, Shri Brajesh Pathak as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, the most deserving and devoted teachers of CMS were honoured and awarded prizes. A total of Rs. 1.5 crore was given as prize money to the CMS teachers and staff members in cash and kind.

            Addressing the august gathering on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Shri Brajesh Pathak said that meaningful and quality education is the need of the hour. In this, teachers have a major role to play. He congratulated the CMS teachers for the wonderful results of their students achieved through constant motivation and hard work. These teachers have brought name and fame to the city of Lucknow, he said. CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi expressed his profound gratitude towards all the dedicated teachers and gave credit for success of the institution to the hard work of Principals and teachers. Dr Gandhi further stated that CMS teachers are preparing the students for tomorrow and inculcating life values and character building qualities in them. On this occasion, CMS Founder-Director, Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi and CMS President and MD, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon also expressed their ideas and paid glorious tribute to the dedicated present and former CMS Principals and teachers, who had shaped the institution. Earlier, Ms Susmita Ghosh, Superior Principal and Head of CMS Quality Assurance and Innovation  Dept. welcomed the distinguished guests and teachers at the function.

            The main attraction of the Teachers Felicitation Function was the honouring of the parents of the Best Teachers of the school. On this occasion, Mr Swapneet Katiyar of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I was declared the Best CMS Teacher in ISC (Class 12) Section while Ms Kakul Mittal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I was adjudged the Best CMS Teacher in ICSE (Class 10) Section for the session 2022-23. The mothers of both these teachers were felicitated by weighing  them in fruits and flowers and fathers presented with Shawls of Honour. In addition to these, teachers of various CMS campuses who have been declared the best teachers for the session at the campus level were also felicitated. Best subject teachers were also honoured with prizes.

            At this grand function, the mothers of Saurabh Mohan and Abdullah Suhail, CMS alumni and Scientists at ISRO, were ceremoniously honoured by weighing them with fruits and flowers and their fathers presented Shawls of Honour. Both these CMS students have made Lucknow proud by contributing to the success of Chandrayaan-3. Besides, Four CMS students namely Anju Yadav, Adil Ansari, Vyadisha Yadav and Richa Chaudhary, who have qualified the coveted PCS (J) Examination, were specially honoured, along with their parents. A colourful educational-cultural pogramme presented by the teachers added lustre to the celebrations. Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that CMS teachers and non-teaching staff had carried out a huge Character Building March earlier this morning to mark Teachers Day.
