CMS students bloom with multi-sided talent on Annual Parents Day

Lucknow, September 16 : City Montessori School, Station Road Campus put up a grand show of talent at the Annual Parents Day celebrations held today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Parents were thrilled to watch the educational-cultural items presented by the students on this occasion. Chief Guest, Shri Amit Srivastava, Executive Director, Research, Indian Railway, inaugurated the function ceremoniously by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Shri Srivastava said that such cultural and educational programmes are very important for the all round development of children. This function is inspiring not only for the children, he said, but also for us elders to encourage us to contribute for a healthy, prosperous and happy world society.

            Parents Day celebrations began with All Religion Prayer and World Unity Prayer in which children carried the flags of various countries and raised the slogan 'May Peace Prevail on Earth'. After this, the cultural items like Prayer and Hymn, Prayer Dance, Welcome song, Bhangra, skit 'Let's Nurture our Nature', Musical Presentation of The Sleeping Beauty and many more items were presented amicably and much applauded by the parents and guardians. Parents' participation in the programme was a special attraction and it greatly boosted the efforts of the students. Mothers presented a beautiful song 'Mile Sur Mera Tumhara' which was much appreciated, on the other hand, the wonderful presentation of World Parliament was also worth watching. In all, the whole programme was successful in portraying the CMS philosophy of imparting Broader and Bolder Education for the 21st century.

            CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said on this occasion that such events inspire the parents to know the truth that home is the prime school of children. He urged the mothers to create an environment of morality and spirituality at home and pave way for the establishment of an ideal society. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon profusely praised the talents of students saying that CMS is endeavouring hard for the holistic development of students. At the end, Principal of CMS Station Road Campus, Mr Deepali Gautam expressed heartfelt gratitude towards parents and eminent guests.
