Tough fight among young players win hearts

Lucknow, December 20 : The third day of the five day International Football Tournament CONCORD 2022, organized by City Montessori School, Station Road Campus witness tough competition as the players of various teams fought for supremacy. Today, 8 matches of boys' category and 3 matches of girls category were played and all the teams displayed outstanding talent in football.

               Several exciting matches were played in the boy’s category at the Chowk Stadium in Concorde 2022 today. The first match between St Joseph’s Convent Senior Secondary School, Madhya Pradesh and Kainat International School, Bihar, played at ground-1 of the Chowk Stadium, saw a nail-biting finish with St Joseph’s Convent Senior Secondary School, Madhya Pradesh winning by a margin of 2-0. Abhishek Fernandez and Rajvardhan scored a goal each for the winning team and Rajvardhan was declared the Player of the match. At ground-2 of the Chowk Stadium, the first match saw a stiff contest between Vishnu Bhagwan Public School, Prayagraj and Sunbeam School, Varuna, Varanasi with Vishnu Bhagwan Public School emerging winners by 4-1 goals. Shivam and Sagar scored in the 21st and 23rd minute in the first half while Vibh Walia scored in 38th and 40th minute in the second half, sealing the win for the team.

               In another matches of boys' category, Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand defeated LaMartiniere College, Lucknow by 3-0. Animesh Kumar Yadav, Hemraj and Harshit from winning team scored 1 goal each whereas Vivek Chaudhary of the same team declared Player of the Match. Similarly,  City Montessori School, Lucknow defeated Cambridge School, Rajasthan by 1-0; Orchid College, Nepal defeated K.D.B. School, Ghaziabad, UP by 2-0 and Everest Academy, Nepal defeated Little Angels High School, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh in one sided match with a huge margin of 10-0. Intense competition was also seen in matches between DPS Eldeco, Lucknow and Takshila Academy, Ambedkar Nagar and Shree Ugratara Bal Vidyalaya, Nepal and District School, Himachal Pradesh.

               In the girls’ category matches being played at CMS Jai Jagat stadium, Little Angels High School, Madhya Pradesh beat Sunbeam School, Varuna, Varanasi by 1-0 while City Montessori School overcame Army Public School, Noida by 1-0. Jhalak from Little Angels Public School and Ritika from Army Public School were declared Player of the match in their respective matches. Tough contest was also seen in the girls’ match between Vishnu Bhagwan Public School, Prayagraj and Army Public School, Lucknow. In this match, Army Public School, Lucknow emerge victorious.
