4th day of International Football Tournament 'Concord-2022'

Lucknow, December 21 : The fourth day of the five day International Football Tournament ‘CONCORD 2022” was full of exciting moments, with the various teams vying for supremacy and eager to qualify for the semi-final matches. City Montessori School, Lucknow; Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand; Everest Academy, Nepal and Takshila Academy, Ambedkar Nagar enter the semi-finals in boys’ category showing magnificent football skills. In the girls’ category, City Montessori School and Vishnu Bhagwan Public School, Prayagraj will meet each other in the Finals.

               City Montessori School registered a 2-1 victory over St. Joseph's Convent Senior Secondary School, Madhya Pradesh in the first match of the boys' category today played on ground 1 of Chowk Stadium, with Atharva and Devansh scoring a goal each. CMS players adopted an aggressive approach from the very beginning and attacked the opposition team with impunity, winning the match convincingly. Abhimanyu Singh was the lone scorer from St Joseph Convent Senior Secondary School. In the second match of the day, Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand beat Shri Ugratara Bal Vidyalaya, Nepal by 7-0 in a one-sided contest on the basis of their excellent technique and coordination. Similarly, in the 3rd match of ground 1, Cambridge School, Rajasthan defeated Kainat International School, Bihar by a margin of 2-0. Intense fight was also seen in match between LaMartiniere College, Lucknow and District School, Himachal Pradesh.

               At the ground 2 of Chowk Stadium, the first match of boys' category was held between Little Angels High School, Madhya Pradesh and Vishnu Bhagwan Public School, Prayagraj. The match was draw with scores level at 2-2. Both the teams displayed excellent technique, stamina and agility, winning the hearts of the audience. Modik and Vijayant scored for Little Angels High School in the 8th and 46th minute while Ansh and Shikhar from Vishnu Bhagwan Public School struck in 19th and 58th minute, leveling the score. In another match of the day, KDB School, Ghaziabad beat DPS Eldeco, Lucknow convincingly by 5-1. Similarly, in the 3rd match at ground 2, Everest Academy, Nepal defeated Sunbeam School, Varuna, Varanasi by 2-0. A tough fight was also seen between Takshila Academy, Ambedkar Nagar and Orchid College, Napal.

               In the two matches played in the girls’ category, girls of Vishnu Bhagwan Public School, Ghaziabad beat Sunbeam School, Varuna, Varanasi by a huge margin of 28-0. The second match in the girls’ category was played between Army Public School, Lucknow and Little Angels High School, Madhya Pradesh. This match was also a one-sided match, wherein Army Public School, Lucknow was victorious by a huge margin of 13-1

               Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that the 5-day International football Tournament has entered its penultimate stage. Tomorrow on December 22, the Girls’ Finals will be held at Jai Jagat Stadium, CMS Kanpur Road at 10 am., while the boys’ semi-finals will be played on the two grounds at Chowk Stadium at 8 am. Boys’ Finals will commence at 12.00 noon at Chowk Stadium.
