CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II organizes Annual Function in a grand way


 

Lucknow, December 22: The 'Annual Function' of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II, held at the campus auditorium, turned out to be a great success and parents were thrilled to watch the blooming and blossoming talents of their children as they performed with elegance on the stage. The colourful cultural items presented by students were greeted with loud  applause by their parents and guardians. Earlier, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that the concept of peace, unity, brotherhood and Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam should be instilled in children from their childhood. Therefore, CMS endeavours that each child imbibes the concept of world unity and world peace both at home and school. He encouraged the parents to be committed for character building and moral and divine upliftment of younger generation.

            The programme began with 'School Prayer' that filled the hearts of audience with divine love and glory followed by 'All Religion Prayer'  and 'World Peace Prayer' wherein students, holding National Flags of various countries, proclaiming 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' very effectively. Prayer and devotional songs presented by mothers was profusely appreciated by one and all. On this occasion, students presented  several cultural items like dances, choir, skit, elocution, orchestra etc presenting a unique view of unity in diversity, cooperation, mutual understanding and team work and left the audience awe-struck. Presentation of World Parliament was another thought provoking item wherein students emphasized on establishment of enforceable international judicial system in order to establish peace and unity across the globe.

            CMS President and MD, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon praising the multifaceted talents  of students, said that a loving and divine atmosphere helps children in their all round development. Mrs Sangeeta Banerjee, Principal, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II extended heartfelt thanks to parents and said that the aim of CMS to make every child good and smart can only be attained with parents' cooperation.
