Eminent international guests pray for World Peace at virtual Roza-Iftar hosted by CMS

Lucknow, May 10 : City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus organized an online Roza Iftar on the occasion of the holy Ramadan month today in which eminent personalities from Kuwait, Canada, USA, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Albania, Bangladesh, Palestine, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and India gathered on the Zoom platform and prayed for peace in the world. They also gave a message of unity and peace to the world community. Mr Salem Salman Humoud Al Sabah, ATC Manager, Corporate Planning Group, Kuwait, joined the Roza-Iftar as the Chief Guest while Imam Tariq Rasheed, Director and Imam, Islamic Centre of Orlando, Canada, presided over the congregation. The other eminent personalities who graced the occasion with their virtual presence were Prof Syed Ali from John Hopkins University, USA; Prof Hayal Koksal, TQM expert, Turkey; Mr Musaid Nair and Mr Muaadh Nair from Sri Lanka; Mohd Raqeeb Khan and Mr Hameed Ali from Saudi Arabia; Mr Abdullah Khan from Dubai; Mr Shamsuddin Ahmed Talukder, Ms Celina Khatun, Mr Nasir Uddin and Sheikh Abu Taleb from Bangladesh; Mr Munther Mohammed Zyuod from Palestine; Mrs Suraiya Farhat and Mr Afzal Ahmad from Abu Dhabi and Mr Hesham Abdo from Riyadh.

        Addressing the participants on this occasion, Chief Guest, Mr Salem Salman Humoud Al Sabah, ATC Manager, Corporate Planning Group, Kuwait said that the month of Ramadan is Allah's most beloved month. During this month Allah blesses Muslims with his choicest of blessings and the gates of heaven are open for all. This is the month when we must necessarily worship, give charity, help others, be kind to others and abstain from every unlawful and disliked act. Presiding over the online congregation, Imam Tariq Rasheed, Director and Imam, Islamic Centre of Orlando, Canada, said that this Roza-Iftar of CMS showcases the spirit of unity, friendship and social harmony that every religion preaches.

        CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that like Mohammad Saheb we should not only work for fulfilling our own wishes but we must bow before the wishes of the Almighty. He said that respect for all religions is the core CMS educational philosophy. He congratulated the Senior Principal of CMS Kanpur Road Campus, Dr Vineeta Kamran for organizing this online event.

        Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that for past many years, CMS is organizing Roza-Iftar in the holy month of Ramadan and this tradition has been kept alive even during the lockdown period. Large number of students, parents and followers of different faiths get together in these online events and carry on the Ganga-Jamuni culture of Lucknow besides reciting the verses of the Holy Quran and praying for peace, brotherhood, social harmony, unity and peace.
