CMS student wins Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship of USA


 Lucknow, May 8 : Parul Srivastava, student of City Montessori school, Station Road Campus has brought laurels to the city of Lucknow by securing the highly prestigious and competitive Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship-21 of the US Department of State. The fellowship provides J-1 Visa support, a monthly stipend, accident and sickness programs, rounding economy class air travels and other allowances. CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi expressed great happiness over this achievement of Parul Srivastava and wished her a bright future. He said that CMS is proud of its students who are bringing fame to the school their merits and hard work.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that attributing the credit of her success to her alma mater, Parul said, 'With constant guidance and support of my teachers and with exposure that is possible only at a world-class school like CMS, I developed the confidence to compete with highly intellectual and educated researchers from across the country and represented India at such an acclaimed international platform'.

            Mr Sharma informed that student of CMS Station Road Campus, Parul went for her further studies to Ramjas College, University of Delhi, and later studied at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Lucknow University. Currently, she is a PhD researcher in the University of Hyderabad and also visiting the Department of History, University of Massachusetts, USA as a Fulbright visiting scholar. Besides, she was selected for the story scholar programme by the Berkeley based '1947 Partition archive' in 2018. Her writings have been published in journals, international blogs and various journalistic websites.

            Mr Sharma said that CMS provides opportunities to its students as per their interests and by developing he personality of future generations, the schools is providing talented and capable citizens to the country and world society. Due to hard work and perseverance of the teaches, CMS students are increasing the pride of Lucknow not only in the country but in the whole world.
