CMS student wins first prize in Anti-drug Painting Competition


 Lucknow, May 3 : Esha Srivastava, student of Class XII at City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus has brought laurels to the school by winning the first prize in the Anti-drug Painting Competition. This competition was organized by the Narcotics Control Bureau, Lucknow, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India on the topic 'Say no to drugs and yes to life'. A large number of students from various prestigious schools of the country participated in this competition organized to create an awareness among the public about the ill effects of the consumption of drugs and illicit drug trafficking. Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that at this competition, Esha Srivastava of CMS Kanpur Road Campus not only demonstrated her creativity and artistic ability but through her artwork, she also highlighted the ill effects of drug abuse and conveyed this important message to the masses. Through her painting, she conveyed how drug addiction causes harm at social and national level apart from the individual level. Judges of the competition appreciated Esha's artistic talents and mature ideas, presented her a certificate, and wished her a bright future.

            Mr Sharma informed that by encouraging students to take part in such competitions, CMS is constantly engaged in nurturing their multifaceted talents and motivating them to do well in life. CMS aims at providing such education to its students that prepares them as world leaders capable of leading the world with their developed human vision. As a result of this unique education system, the students of the school are bringing laurels to the school by winning prizes in various contests at national and international levels.
