Inter-school Virtual Yoga Meet today at CMS,


Lucknow, June 20 : City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I is organizing the
5th Inter-School Yoga Meet online tomorrow on Sunday, 21 June, the International Day of Yoga. Mayor of Lucknow, Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion who will inaugurate the Yoga Meet online at 6.30 am on 21st June. CMS Founders and renowned educationists, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi; CMS President Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon; Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs Nisha Pandey along with many other eminent personalities and yoga lovers, will glorify the event by their benign presence online. This information has come from Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS. Mr Sharma further stated that at this inter-school yoga meet, students from different schools of Lucknow will demonstrate physical fitness through various yogasanas and yogik performances, thereby sensitizing the world about this Indian fitness technique.
            Mr Sharma informed that in this Inter-school Yoga Meet, contests will be held online in three categories. In Group A, senior students aged 14 to 17 years, will perform Virbhadrasana, Chakra Bandhasana, Vibhakta Paschimottanasana, Purna Supta Vajrasana, Padam Sarvangasana, Purna Bhujangasana, Padangushth Dhanurasana etc. In Group-B, junior students aged 11 to 14 years, will perform Garudasana, Parsvakonasana, Bakasana, Purna Supta Vajrasana, Eka Pada Chakrasana, Yoga Nidrasana, Matsyasana, Dhanurasana etc. Similarly, in Group C, primary / sub-junior students aged 8 to 11 years, will perform Trikonasana, Padahastasana, Ushtrasana, Garbhasana, Eka Pada Sikandhasana, Chakrasana, Sarvangasana, Dhanurasana etc. Every team will comprise 4 students having 4 minutes to perform 4 yogik asanas.
