Inter-school Virtual Yoga Meet at CMS on June 21 Mayor, Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia to inaugurate

Rajajipuram Campus I is organizing the
5th Inter-School Yoga Meet online on Sunday, 21 June, the International Day of Yoga. At the Yoga Meet, students from different schools of Lucknow will be participating online to demonstrate yogik skills through various yogasanas and yogik performances and spread across the world this amazing Indian heritage. Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS informed that the Mayor of Lucknow, Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. She will inaugurate the Yoga Meet online at 6.30 am on 21st June.

Mr
Sharma informed that in this Inter-school Yoga Meet, contests will be held
online in three categories. In Group A, senior students aged 14 to 17 years,
will perform Virbhadrasana, Chakra Bandhasana, Vibhakta Paschimottanasana,
Purna Supta Vajrasana, Padam Sarvangasana, Purna Bhujangasana, Padangushth
Dhanurasana etc. In Group-B, junior students aged 11 to 14 years, will
perform Garudasana, Parsvakonasana, Bakasana, Purna Supta Vajrasana, Eka Pada
Chakrasana, Yoga Nidrasana, Matsyasana, Dhanurasana etc. Similarly, in Group
C, primary / sub-junior students aged 8 to 11 years, will perform
Trikonasana, Padahastasana, Ushtrasana, Garbhasana, Eka Pada Sikandhasana,
Chakrasana, Sarvangasana, Dhanurasana etc. Every team will comprise 4 students
having 4 minutes to perform 4 yogik asanas.
Mr
Sharma further stated that CMS believes that yoga is a significant cultural
heritage of India and it is very good also for a healthy life. In order to
incorporate healthy activities in the routine life, CMS Rajajipuram Campus I
has taken up the responsibility to sensitize the masses with benefits of yoga
by organizing Yoga Meets.
