CMS students spread message to keep earth verdant
Lucknow, 5 June: All 18 campuses of City Montessori School
celebrated online 'World Environment Day' today. CMS Aliganj Campus I conducted
a Webinar on Zoom App on the topic 'Earth, Environment and Covid-19'. The
environmental activist and the winner of International Children's Peace
Prize-2016, Ms Kehkashan Basu attended this interactive session from Toronto,
Canada as the Special Guest. CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish
Gandhi; Senior Principal of CMS Aliganj Campus I, Mrs Jyoti Kashyap; Principal
Mrs Shivani Singh and over 100 students participated in it. This year's theme
'Celebrating Biodiversity' on World Environment Day was discussed at this
webinar.
CMS Founder
and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi profusely praised the efforts
of CMS Aliganj Campus I teachers and students for their efforts saying that
each citizen is duty bound to save natural resources and flora and fauna. City
Montessori School has always been giving the message 'Save Environment -
Decorate Earth' to its students, parents and others and through the 56,000 CMS
students, their parents and guardians, it is encouraging all the citizens of
Lucknow to save environment.

Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS said that online 'World
Environment Day' was celebrated today by all CMS Campuses. CMS students, on
this occasion, planted trees at their homes and neighbouring areas and also
made cards and posters to sensitize people over environment conservation. CMS
teachers conducted special online classes today to teach students importance of
environment conservation and causes of climate change and pollution in
environment, to awaken them for its conservation.
Mr Sharma
further informed that CMS has always been a pioneer in awaring people socially
and CMS students excel in academics as well as in social awareness campaigns.
CMS endeavours hard to establish a peaceful future for younger generation with
a conscious understanding for significance of environment conservation so that
the coming generations breathe in a pure and safe atmosphere.
