Satrangi Dhara Bachpan Hara Bhara-a joint initiative of UNICEF and CMS Community Radio


Lucknow, March 21: City Montessori School, Lucknow and CMS Radio jointly launched a special radio programme, “Satrangi Dhara Bachpan Hara Bhara” at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I. The aim of this programme was to encourage the children to create a green and clean earth and to protect the earth from pollution by making it environmentally stable and sustainable. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of City Montessori School, Mr Hari Om Sharma. The occasion saw the gracious presence of distinguished persons like Mr Nagendra Singh, Water and Cleanliness Expert, UNESCO, Mrs Richa Srivastava, State Communication Consultant of UNICEF, Mrs Abha Anant, Principal, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, Mr R.K. Singh, Head, CMS Films and Radio Division, Dr Manju Anand, Activity Coordinator and members of CMS Community Radio Division and many others. On this occasion, Mr Nagendra Singh, Water and Cleanliness Expert, UNESCO conducted an interactive session on Carbon Footprint for students, teachers and community members and quenched their thirst for answers on water and cleanliness. He also answered the queries of listeners on the community radio. On this occasion, the members of the Crusaders Club presented a lively skit and street play on environmental protection which touched the hearts of the viewers. The programme was conducted by Mr Ravindra Tripathi and Mrs Vanita Sharma.CMS Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi and CMS Manager, Prof, Geeta Gandhi expressed profound happiness and satisfaction for these thought –provoking and socially useful programmes and wished Community Radio and UNICEF the very best.
