Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expresses grief over Dr Jagdish Gandhis death, pays visit to Dr Bharti Gandhi at her residence


 

Lucknow, 11 March : Defence Minister of India, Mr Rajnath Singh visited Dr Bharti Gandhi, wife of the late Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Founder-Director of City Montessori School, Lucknow at her residence and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Gandhi family on the sad demise of renowned educationist and Founder of CMS, Dr Jagdish Gandhi. On this occasion, CMS President and Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon was also present. The occasion was sad yet memorable as Mr Rajnath Singh reminisced about his long standing friendship with the late Dr Jagdish Gandhi and said that the academic world had received a tremendous setback on the passing away of Dr Jagdish Gandhi. Mr Rajnath Singh met Dr Bharti Gandhi for an hour and offered her his support and encouragement. CMS Founder-Director Dr Bharti Gandhi was visibly grateful for Mr Rajnath’s personal visit, his support and words of consolation. She said that his words had indeed infused a new life and strength in her and all her family members. CMS President and Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that each and every worker and teacher of CMS is firmly resolved to follow the path of peace and unity shown by Dr Jagdish Gandhi and live up to his high ideals.

               It may be mentioned that the CMS Founder-Manager, renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, left for his heavenly abode on 22nd January 2024. He was given state honours at his funeral. Dr Gandhi revolutionized education by taking it out of books and making it student friendly and child centric. The CMS pattern of education has become a subject of research and study as it is fine tuned to address the three realities of man-material, human and Divine. Dr Jagdish Gandhi constantly worked to ensure a safe and secure future for the world's 2.5 billion children and the generations yet unborn.
