Overall Championship of International QC Convention in Mauritius bagged by CMS Aliganj


 

Lucknow, August 1: Students' team of City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I brought glory to Lucknow winning the Overall Championship of 'International Convention on Students' Quality Circles Convention (ICSQC)' held in Mauritius. Student teams of CMS Aliganj Campus I and CMS Kanpur Road Campus eagerly participated in a series of exciting events at the Convention and won 12 prizes in different competitions. The Convention was inaugurated in a grand way by the President of Mauritius, Hon'ble Prithvirajsing Roopun. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma said that the 19-member students' teams of CMS Kanpur Road and Aliganj Campus I returned home after participating in the  'International Convention on Students' Quality Circles (ICSQC)' in Mauritius. They were accorded a warm welcome by the CMS authorities, staff and students and showered with garlands and congratulations. Mr Sharma informed that this International Convention was organized by World Council of Total Quality and Excellence in Education (WCTQEE) in which several students' teams and world renowned Quality Experts from across the globe participated.

             Mr Sharma stated that during this international convention, CMS students presented a case study on burning issues of present age society and pointed out the quality concept in education before several students' teams and quality experts of various countries. Besides, they showcased their talents in various contests. CMS Aliganj Campus I Team secured maximum prizes in different competitions winning the Overall Championship. This team won the 2nd prize in Poster and Slogan Making contest, Best speaker and 2nd position for the Best Team in debate, 3rd prize in public speaking, kavi sammellan and Maths contests along with Excellence Award in Panel discussion and Cultural programme. Similarly, the team of CMS Kanpur Road Campus won the 3rd prize in debate competition as well as Consolation Prizes in kavi sammellan, mathematics and poster and slogan competitions. Mr Sharma informed that the delegation of CMS Kanpur Road Campus comprised nine students namely Arsh Dwivedi, Dhairya Gupta, Shrinjini Verma, Abhimanyu Pratap Singh Bhadauria, Akshara Srivastava, Kartikey Saroj, Niharika Srivastava, Saanvi Tiwari and Aryansh Srivastava led by the teachers of CMS Kanpur Road Campus, Mr Vaibhav Srivastava and Ms Shikha Sareen. Similarly, the delegation of CMS Aliganj Campus I comprised seven students namely Trisha Singh, Eshu Singh, Divyanshi Srivastava, Alankrita Yadav, Tanvi Singh, Ananya Srivastava and Akriti Singh led by the teacher of CMS Aliganj Campus I, Dr Shuchi Tewari.

             Mr Sharma further added that the students from the CMS delegation returning from Mauritius spoke at an informal talk about the Convention saying that it had been fruitful in preparing the students for the changing world scenario, to find amicable solutions of global problems, develop analytical skills, team work, and innovative skills and develop win-win attitude in them.
