CMS felicitates its meritorious students in a grand way
Lucknow, 2 August: City Montessori School
organized a grand 'Meritorious Students' Felicitation Function' today at CMS
Kanpur Road auditorium. The students who had scored very high marks in the ISC
1st Comparative Exams and excelled in different subjects were felicitated on
this occasion. Amidst a huge gathering, Chief Guest, Shri Alok Ranjan, IAS,
Former Chief Secretary, UP, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp of learning.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Shri Alok Ranjan said that the only way to succeed
in life was by have clarity of goal and focus in work. One must be ready to
face obstacles in life but he or she must keep going with added zeal and vigour.
Determination and hard work are the key to success. He advised students to take
up careers which excite them and by which they can make a difference in
society. Reading good books gives us a broad vision and understanding, he said.
At
the felicitation ceremony, Kanishka Mittal of CMS Kanpur Road Campus was
especially honoured for securing first position in the Inter-Campus Comparative
Examinations of ISC (Class XII). She has secured 93.40% marks in the aggregate
topping in the merit list of Comparative Examinations. On this occasion, mother
of Kanishka Mittal was weighed in fruits and flowers as per CMS tradition while
her father and teacher guardian were presented Shawls of Honour. Apart from this, the top ten position holders of the
Inter-campus First Comparative Examination, Campus toppers of First Comparative
Examination and those who brought name and fame to the city of Lucknow in
various competitions were also honoured and felicitated. The programme
began with the school prayer and musical rendition of Vande Mataram.
Presentations of All Religions Prayer,
Prayer Dance and Choreography and Career Counselling programme left the
audience mesmerized. Ahead of it, Ms Susmita Ghose, Superior Principal and
Head of Quality Assurance and Innovation Department of CMS, welcomed the
meritorious students, teachers and distinguished guests.
Addressing
the gathering on this occasion, CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi congratulated
the CMS students and teachers for their outstanding performance and said that
the honours won by them would inspire the juniors too to live up to the high
standards of the institution. He praised the CMS teachers for their hard work,
consistent efforts and commitment . In her speech, the CMS President, Prof.
Geeta Kingdon inspired the students to aim high and work hard to achieve
their goals. The CMS Founder- Director, Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi blessed
the students saying that it is these bright minds who will bring in a Divine
civilization and lead mankind towards new goals of success.
