Bhavan's Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Nagpur, Maharashtra wins Overall Championship
Lucknow, 8 August :
'Reflections-2023' the four-day International Festival of History and
Civics organized by City Montessori School, Mahanagar Campus concluded this
evening with a grand prize distribution ceremony held at CMS Kanpur Road
auditorium. The winners of various competitions were awarded shields, medals
and certificates amidst colourful educational-cultural items. The Overall
Championship of Reflections-2023 went to Bhavan's Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir,
Nagpur, Maharashtra whereas Nalanda International School, Vadodara,
Gujarat was runner-up.
The closing ceremony was replete
with music and dance performances wherein CMS students presented beautiful
cultural items making the team leaders and experts sway to their tunes. They
were well applauded with loud clapping that resounded in the hall for a long
time. The programme commenced with All Religion and World Peace Prayers
displaying the unity and diversity of Indian culture. On this occasion, the participants
from India and abroad also voiced their opinions and shared their experiences
at Reflections 2023. They opined that the festival has made them aware of their
duties towards society, country and the world. They thanked CMS for providing
them with such a wonderful platform to chisel their talents.
Speaking on the occasion, CMS
Founder and renowned educationist Dr Jagdish Gandhi blessed all the
participants and inspired them to become World Citizens by removing differences
amongst themselves. He was happy that this festival had been successful in its
aim of motivating the younger generation to work for the welfare of all
mankind. Convenor of
'Reflections-2023' and Principal of CMS Mahanagar Campus, Dr Kalpana Tripathi extended
her heartfelt thanks to the participating students and team leaders and said
that we have to impart such education to the children that will sow the seeds
of World Unity and World Peace and carve a New World Civilization.
Chief Public Relations Officer of
CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that today on the fourth and final day of
Reflections-2023, the final round of Eureka
(Quiz) was held in the morning session wherein the top 15 teams selected
from the preliminary round showcased their knowledge spreading the message of
World Unity and World Peace. The auditorium was packed with students and others
to see the talents of students who answered the questions correctly and with
great speed.
Mr Sharma further said that around
500 students from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and various states of
India had arrived here to participate in this four-day-long international
festival and display their talents. The students showed their talents in
various competitions and proved that we must learn lessons from our past
mistakes to form one world then only the dream of New World Society can be
actualized.
