CMS on Moon Nine with two of its students in Chandrayaan team

Lucknow, 26 August : While the entire nation is celebrating the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission to Moon, City Montessori School, Lucknow, has reasons to feel even more elated as two of the school's alumni are in the team the whole nation is indebted to for this proud moment. The duo who have brought laurels to the city are Abdullah Suhail, an alumnus of CMS Indiranagar and Mahanagar Campuses and Saurabh Kumar Mohan of CMS Rajendra Nagar and RDSO Campuses. While Abdullah Suhail, a data scientist working with High-resolution Data Processing Division was among the chosen few to select a landing spot for Chandrayaan-3, Space Scientist, Saurabh Kumar Mohan was the Operational Manager for the Mission.

            Saurabh, who has done his entire schooling at CMS, joined the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) immediately after passing out of CMS RDSO campus in 2007 and did his B.Tech from ISRO's Vikram Sarabhabhi Space Centre, Trivandrum. His parents' eyes fill with tears recalling the days when they would see Saurabh's picture displayed on the huge school notice board for many years for securing All India Rank 2 in the ICSE Board Examination 2005.

            Saurabh does not tell us much about his work due to security reasons. He only says that he is doing good and working hard, and that he is proud that he is working for the nation," said his father Mr Ram Kumar Dhunak and mother Mrs Sushma.

            Born to an engineer father and highly qualified mother, Abdullah too is a 2007 CMS passout, the second of their three siblings. He achieved cent percent marks in Mathematics in his class XII board exams and went on to do B.Tech. in Computer Engineering. He further qualified PCS and then did his M.Tech/PhD from JNU. Thereafter he applied at ISRO where there was an opening and got selected.

            CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi congratulated Abdulla Suhail and Saurabh Kumar Mohan on this outstanding achievement and wished them many more successes in the service of the country. He further said that CMS students are excelling in their careers all over the world and we congratulate our teachers and Principals because of whose hard work and dedication, CMS produce ssuch brilliant students who bring laurels to the country with their achievements.
