Dr Jagdish Gandhi pays homage to Flying Sikh Milkha Singh

 Lucknow, June 19 : Renowned educationist of Lucknow and Founder of City Montessori School, Dr Jagdish Gandhi paid homage to 91 year old Flying Sikh Milkha Singh and expressed deep grief on his demise today. On this occasion, he recalled the day when Milkha Singh had arrived at CMS as Chief Guest. He said that Mr Milkha Singh had encouraged the young players of India and abroad at the International Sports Olympiad, EXSPO, organized by CMS RDSO Campus in the year 2006.

     Remembering Milkha Singh for his services to the nation, Dr Gandhi said that he is known worldwide as the Flying Sikh. He had won the first gold medal for India in the Commonwealth Games. Apart from this, the great sprinter, Mr Milkha Singh had four gold medals to his name in the Asian Games as well. Dr Gandhi said that it is impossible to make up for the irreparable loss caused by the death of Mr Milkha Singh but we express condolences from the bottom of our hearts and pray that his soul rests in peace.

CMS student excels in IGCSE (Cambridge Board) exams

Lucknow, June 2 : Anahita Singh, a student of City Montessor School, Cambridge International Section, has brought laurels for the school by getting 7 A*s and 3 As in the very competitive International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the Cambridge curriculum's equivalent of a grade-10 qualification.         Anahita says, "I had been hoping for a good score, but could never have imagines that I would get 7 A*s. Government of India to award Rs 88 lakh INSPIRE Scholarship to 22 CMS students

Lucknow, 2 July : As many as 22 meritorious students of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I have been awarded the INSPIRE scholarship worth Rs. 88 lakhs by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, wherein each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh for five years. This scholarship will be given to CMS students to pursue higher studies in Science. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna further informed that each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh in five years (Rs 80,000/- per year), amounting to Rs 88 lakhs scholarship for all the 22 students.
