CMS students are giving the message of Yoga for Wellness to the world -- Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia

June 21 : On the occasion of International Yoga Day today, City Montessori
School, Rajajipuram Campus I organized its 6th Inter-school Yoga Meet online.
Chief Guest, Mrs Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor of Lucknow, inaugurated the Yoga Meet
online. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Chief Guest, Mrs Sanyukta
Bhatia, said that CMS
students are motivating the entire world to keep fit and safe through this yoga
meet. It is really a commendable effort of CMS to spread the importance of yoga
across the globe.At this yoga meet, several dignitaries from India and abroad registered
their virtual presence. Founders of CMS, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Bharti
Gandhi; Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj,President & Spiritual
Head, Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh; Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati ji,
President of Divine Shakti Foundation, Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh; Principals
of all CMS Campuses and yoga enthusiasts joined the event online to spread the
message to stay healthy with Yoga. Ms. Antonietta Rozzi, Teacher of yoga
pedagogy at the University and president of Sarva Yoga International, Yoga
Senior teacher, Italy; Mr. Gandhar Mandlik, Director of Yoga Vidya
Gurukul, Nasik; Mr. Rahul Autade, Yoga Expert,Global Indian
International School, Thailand; Ms. Amrita Lohia, Yoga Consultant,
Delhi; Ms. Chinkal Sharma, Yoga Consultant, Gurugram; Ms. Rajeshwari
Singh, Caravan Classroom- Director Vadodara, Gujarat, were some of the
other eminent yoga specialists who joined the event online.
CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said
that yoga has now become very
popular in the world and the credit goes to our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra
Modi. Speaking further, Dr Gandhi said that yoga assumes even more importance
in view of the lifestyle people lead in this age, and creating this awareness
is our responsibility for making the society healthy and prosperous.
On this occasion, the live telecast
of PM Modi's address was also heard by one and all. Students of over 25 schools
of India participated in various competitions at this yoga meet to showcase
their yogasanas, yogic activities and physical prowess taking this amazing
inheritance of India far and wide. The participating students performed 5 yogic
asanas each in 5 minutes. Each team consisted of 10 participating students. The
competitions were organized in three categories, in which students of 7 to 17
years of age displayed their mastery in various yogic activities in their
respective groups. Eminent yoga experts acted as the judges of the competition.
The winning students of the competition were awarded with e-certificates.
