10 CMS students bag top three positions at International Mathematics Olympiad of Bulgaria

Lucknow, 13 June : Ten students of City Montessori School have won all the three top positions - first, second and third, while competing with thousands of students from 7 countries at the International Mathematics Olympiad organized online by the Mathematics and National Science Academy located in Burgas, a prominent city in Bulgaria. Students from Bulgaria, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia and India participated in this gruelling competition. Amidst tough competition, Harsh Kumar Singh and Megha Gupta of RDSO Campus secured first position in their respective categories while Pranay Agarwal, and Vaibhav Sharma of RDSO Campus, Rishith Raj Raizada of Gomti Nagar Campus I and Aditya Pratap Singh Negi, Pranab Pandey and Apoorv Mishra of Rajajipuram Campus I secured the second position in their respective categories. Chitrakshi Singh of Gomti Nagar Campus I and Kanishk of Gomti Nagar Campus II secured third position in their respective categories.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that International Mathematics Olympiad provided a golden opportunity to CMS students to exchange their maths skill and expertise with the students from various countries. He said that the competition aimed at making latest information of maths available to the students, providing opportunity of exchange of the knowledge of maths, and increasing the feeling of world fraternity among the students of various countries.
