Virtual sports event of CMS RDSO Campus Spardha 2020 concludes


 

Lucknow, 16 September : City Montessori School, RDSO Campus, to commemorate the Sports Day organized in the memory of the great Hockey player, Major Dhyanchand, organized 'Spardha-2020', a virtual sports event. The students of schools of Thailand and many states of India sent their entries of sports activities for participation and the best entries were awarded online at a grand Closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony. The best entries were chosen by the experts of those events and Mr Chetan Sharma, former International Cricket Player was the Chief Guest on this occasion, whose virtual presence infused enthusiasm in young players. The students of CMS RDSO Campus presented virtual World Parliament discussing the role of sports in education and establishing World Unity. Sports competitions play significant role in uniting the world, students spoke.

               Chief Guest, Mr Chetan Sharma said on this occasion that sports contest develop discipline, unity, cooperation and team work in children and these qualities develop them as good citizens. He profusely praised CMS for organizing this event saying that children have become restless being locked inside their homes and such events energize them.

               The winners of this competition were: Itika Malhotra of St. Marks Sr. Sec. School, New Delhi won the first prize in Cut Capers (Zumba) in pre-primary category whereas Bhavya Pandey of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I got the first prize in the same event in primary category. In free-style football contest, senior category, first prize went to Prithvi Yadav of St. Marka Sr. Sec. School, New Delhi, Devishi Sharma in senior category of the same school won the first prize in Sit-ups event and Khushi Kumawat of JSC School, Jobner, Jaipur won the first prize of juniors'. Manishi Kumawat in seniors' and Deelip Kumawat in juniors' of JSC School, Jobner, Jaipur won the first prize in Push-ups event. Rishabh Gupta of St. Marks Sr. Sec. School, New Delhi and Swaraj Das of same school in junior category won the first prize in boys' Skipping contest. In primary category of the same event, Aon Lapan of Banpangsak School, Thailand, won the first prize. In girls' skipping seniors category', Tamanna Mohan of St. Marks Sr. Sec. School, New Delhi won the first prize and in junior girls' category, Manisha Kumawat of JSC School, Jobner, Jaipur won the first prize and in primary category, Monang Lapan of Banpangsak School, Thailand got the first prize.
