Participants compete for winning Science and Mathematics Contests


 

Lucknow, 22 September : The second day of five-day long virtual 'Macfair International-2020', an international competition of science and computer organized by City Montessori School, Mahanagar Campus, saw a tough fight among the participating teams for winning positions and learning. Their mettle and aptitude made it clear that these participants have immense potential. It is worth mentioning here that CMS Mahanagar Campus has organized a 5-day virtual 'Macfair International-2020' from 21 to 25 September in which 40 teams from various schools of Nepal and India are participating to showcase their talents and also spread the message of World Unity and World Peace.

        On the second day of virtual 'Macfair International-2020', Science Olympiad (Discovery) was organized in which various sessions of Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics Olympiads were held. It was mandatory for at least one participant from each team to participate in two subjects. Written round was held for one and a half hour in which questions were taken from class XII syllabus of international olympiad level. The winners were decided on the basis of average marks obtained in two subjects by the participants. The event began with School Prayer, All Religion Prayer and World Unity Prayer.

        The Convener of Macfair International and Principal of CMS Mahanagar Campus, Dr Kalpana Tripathi said on this occasion that education must be associated with our daily life. We have to transform the world through education and prepare socially responsible and dedicated citizens. Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, informed that the events of this Science and Mathematics competition will continue tomorrow on 23rd September, Wednesday. Tomorrow, in the afternoon from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm, Sound of Music (Jingles) competition will be held.
