Wave of excitement in CMS among students and parents on the start of a new academic session online

July 1 : City Montessori School teachers, students and parents became joyous
today as new academic session has begun online. It reflected in nearly hundred
percent attendance of 56,000 students in all CMS campuses. On this occasion,
the students and parents were communicated about online classes, book list,
syllabus and time table etc. in detail. For the convenience of students and
parents, all this information is available on CMS website www.cmseducation.org.
Thus, with a systematic and regular time-table online classes have started in
all 18 campuses of CMS.
Earlier, the students and teachers
of all CMS Campuses celebrated 'Vidya Ka Parv' online with great enthusiasm and
zeal. On this occasion, Founders of CMS and renowned educationists, Dr
Jagdish Gandhi and Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi welcomed the teachers for the new
academic session whereas CMS Principals guided and motivated the teachers for
the all round development of students. 'Vidya Ka Parv' began online with
'School Prayer'. On this occasion, a virtual talk was held wherein students
were informed about the rules of online learning, achievements of CMS,
importance of discipline, significance of Prayer Assembly and safety measures
to be taken for corona pandemic etc.
Addressing the students and
teachers online, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi
called upon students to get fully involved in online classes and study
diligently. Dr Gandhi also guided the teachers saying that it is a period of
boundless crisis prevailed in the whole world and hence, young generation must
be equipped with meaningful education of which character building and global
thinking must be a significant part. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi
Kingdon said on this occasion that CMS teachers must be commended for their
untiring efforts they put in to teach students at this trying time of corona
pandemic and even improved the creative skills of students with the activities
like dance, music, workshop, quiz etc. CMS Founder-Director and renowned
educationist, Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi open heartedly thanked all the
teachers and workers for their exceptional services rendered to students.
Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public
Relations Officer of CMS informed that in the months of March, April and
May, online classes were running very successfully in all CMS Campuses. It has
been easier for CMS than other schools to take online classes because all the
basic infrastructure and equipments for online teaching were installed in CMS.
CMS President Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and Director of Strategy, Mr Roshan
Gandhi were the forces behind instituting E-learning department in CMS long
ago. The E-learning department has 330 IT experts working under it who train
the teachers of all CMS campuses to teach online by using the latest
techniques. To cope up with the present time challenges, online teaching is the
best option, said Mr Sharma.
