CMS student selected for scholarship of Rs. 4,64,000/- under Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna
Lucknow, July 25 : Parth Bansal, a
meritorious student of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus has been selected
for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY Fellowship) of the Government of
India elevating school's flag on national arena. Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief
Public Relations Officer of CMS informed that this meritorious student will be
receiving the scholarship of Rs. 5000/- per month and Rs. 20,000/- as annual
contingency grant during his graduation period. At M.Sc. level course, he will
be getting a monthly stipend of Rs. 7000/- per month and annual contingency
grant of Rs. 28,000/-. Thus, he will be getting a scholarship of Rs. 4,64,000/-
during five years of higher education. Mr Sharma added that this fellowship scheme is a very
enterprising project of the Government of India to encourage the undergraduate
students go for research career and it is coordinated by Indian Science Centre,
Bengaluru.
Mr Sharma
informed that the students who obtain high percentage of marks in board
examination, undergo aptitude test and interview to achieve this prestigious
scholarship. The fellowship is awarded till the students maintain their
academic performance upto first division. The students chosen under this
fellowship, can avail the facility of famous national laboratory, university
and library in any part of India for free, by showing their ID cards.
