'Quality Mindset' is pathway to future -- Renowned Quality Experts

Lucknow, 5 December : The second day of the four-day International Students’ Quality Circle Convention (ISCQC-2024), organized under the aegis of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus, was enriched with the insightful thoughts of distinguished quality experts from around the world. These experts emphasized the need for the younger generation to internalize the concept of "quality in every sphere of life" as a powerful means to reach the pinnacle of success. Additionally, participants from various countries showcased their skills in competitions such as collage making and case study presentations.

            The second day of ISCQC-2024 commenced with a thought-provoking speech by CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon. In her address, Prof. Kingdon stated that while education is indeed about academic learning, it is equally important to ponder over its ultimate goal. She stressed that the true aim of education is to create a peaceful and prosperous society, which can only be achieved by incorporating the spirit of quality in education. Referring to the teachings of Abdul Baha, the founder of the Bahá'í faith, she highlighted that "excellence of character and the ability to solve challenges creatively is what makes a person truly great." On this occasion, CMS Senior Principal and Head of the Quality Assurance Department, Ms. Sushmita Ghosh, shared insights into the unique features of the Alpha Education System being implemented for pre-primary students. Earlier, the conference convener and Senior Principal of CMS Kanpur Road Campus, Dr. Vineeta Kamran, warmly welcomed quality experts and student participants from various countries.

            In the conference’s opening plenary session, Dr. A. Senthil Kumaran, Chief Confluencer of The Learner's Confluence, delivered the keynote address on the topic “Quality as Culture, Not a Checklist.” He remarked that the environment of a school reflects the quality of education being imparted by its teachers. He further stated that education should bring joy to students in schools.
Ms Jyothis Mathew, Principal, Treamis International School, Bangalore, emphasized that teachers play a crucial role in instilling the spirit of quality in children, as it is the teachers who inspire students to become quality-driven individuals. Dr. M.R. Kabir, Professor at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, stressed the importance of not only thinking about problems but also finding scientific and peaceful solutions to them. Several other quality experts guided students, teachers, and the audience with their insightful perspectives.

               During the conference, student participants from across the globe showcased their creative solutions to various problems through case study presentations. Similarly, the collage-making competition demonstrated how adopting a "quality mindset" can lead to the heights of success. In addition, a grand Dandiya Night and Cultural Evening were organized in honor of the quality experts and student participants. Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS, informed that the keynote addresses by eminent quality experts from across the world will continue tomorrow, Friday, 6th December. Furthermore, a range of activities including debate, quiz, poster-making, and slogan-writing competitions will be organized for the participating students from India and abroad.
