Lucknow, 5
December : The second day of the four-day International Students’ Quality
Circle Convention (ISCQC-2024), organized under the aegis of City Montessori
School, Kanpur Road Campus, was enriched with the insightful thoughts of
distinguished quality experts from around the world. These experts emphasized
the need for the younger generation to internalize the concept of "quality
in every sphere of life" as a powerful means to reach the pinnacle of
success. Additionally, participants from various countries showcased their
skills in competitions such as collage making and case study presentations.
The second day of ISCQC-2024
commenced with a thought-provoking speech by CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi
Kingdon. In her address, Prof. Kingdon stated that while education
is indeed about academic learning, it is equally important to ponder over its
ultimate goal. She stressed that the true aim of education is to create a
peaceful and prosperous society, which can only be achieved by incorporating
the spirit of quality in education. Referring to the teachings of Abdul Baha,
the founder of the Bahá'í faith, she highlighted that "excellence of
character and the ability to solve challenges creatively is what makes a person
truly great." On this occasion, CMS Senior Principal and Head of the
Quality Assurance Department, Ms. Sushmita Ghosh, shared insights into the
unique features of the Alpha Education System being implemented for pre-primary
students. Earlier, the conference convener and Senior Principal of CMS
Kanpur Road Campus, Dr. Vineeta Kamran, warmly welcomed quality experts and
student participants from various countries.
In the conference’s opening plenary
session, Dr. A. Senthil Kumaran, Chief Confluencer of The Learner's Confluence,
delivered the keynote address on the topic “Quality as Culture, Not a
Checklist.” He
remarked that the environment of a school reflects the quality of education
being imparted by its teachers. He further stated that education should bring
joy to students in schools.
Ms Jyothis Mathew, Principal, Treamis International School, Bangalore, emphasized
that teachers play a crucial role in instilling the spirit of quality in
children, as it is the teachers who inspire students to become quality-driven
individuals. Dr. M.R. Kabir, Professor at Daffodil International University,
Bangladesh, stressed the importance of not only thinking about problems but
also finding scientific and peaceful solutions to them. Several other quality
experts guided students, teachers, and the audience with their insightful
perspectives.
During the conference, student
participants from across the globe showcased their creative solutions to
various problems through case study presentations. Similarly, the collage-making
competition demonstrated how adopting a "quality mindset" can
lead to the heights of success. In addition, a grand Dandiya Night and Cultural
Evening were organized in honor of the quality experts and student
participants. Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS, informed that
the keynote addresses by eminent quality experts from across the world will
continue tomorrow, Friday, 6th December. Furthermore, a range of activities
including debate, quiz, poster-making, and slogan-writing competitions will be
