CMS student tops in country in International Mathematics Competition

Lucknow, 16 December : Abhiraj Pratap Singh Negi, a brilliant Class VIII student of City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I, has brought laurels to Lucknow by securing the All India Rank 1 and earning the title of ‘Country Topper’ in the International Mental Maths World Cup 2024. In this prestigious international competition, Abhiraj achieved the 7th rank globally. This information was given by Mr Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS. Mr. Khanna informed that this international mathematics competition was organized under the aegis of Live Maths Competition and League (Live MCL), in which thousands of students from 59 countries participated to showcase their mathematical talent.  Abhiraj demonstrated his intellectual and mental prowess along with his excellent mathematical knowledge in the Grandmaster category, earning the title of ‘Country Topper.’ The organizers of the competition highly praised Abhiraj’s multifaceted talent and honoured him with a trophy, medal, and certificate of appreciation. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon extended her best wishes for this talented student’s bright future.

            Mr. Khanna further stated that this competition was organized with the objective of focusing students on intellectual development, enhancing their ability to find quick solutions and promoting learning skills. CMS continually encourages its students to participate in math, science, general knowledge, and other competitions. This is the reason why CMS students consistently make their mark in various intellectual and academic competitions, bringing honour to the school.
