Students show extraordinary sports skill, mesmerize all

Lucknow, December 28 : City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I, organized its grand ‘Annual Sports Day’ today at the school’s sports ground. On this occasion, students from pre-primary, primary, junior, and senior classes showcased their extraordinary sports talent, captivating the audience. Through energetic and dynamic physical fitness activities, they spread the message of "India Fit and Young." The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Neeraj Bora, MLA, who hoisted the sports flag. While boosting the morale of the students, Shri Bora stated that children raised in disciplined and value-based family environments play a constructive role in social development, and sports play a vital role in this process. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that the playground is the ideal place for students to develop virtues, build a good character and learn the lesson of unity and cooperation.

           The enthusiasm of the student athletes during the event was unparalleled. Students eagerly participated in as many competitions as possible. The event began with an All-Religion and World Peace Prayer, spreading the message of global unity and peace across the world. Following this, the scheduled competitions commenced, where students showcased their talent in various events like the 100m race, sack race, slow cycling race, umbrella race, cricket race, and many more exciting contests. In addition to these, students impressed everyone with their skills in yogic exercises, pyramid formations, aerobics, and gymnastics, while parents demonstrated their strength in the ‘Tug of War’ competition. The victorious students were honored with certificates, medals, and shields.

           On this occasion, Mrs. Jyoti Kashyap, Senior Principal of CMS Aliganj Campus I, emphasized that physical development is essential for the intellectual growth of students, which can only be achieved through sports. She added that such events inspire students to develop mutual cooperation, self-confidence, and motivation to move forward in life. Principal Mrs. Shivani Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished guests who graced the event and boosted the morale of the young athletes.
