CMS Station Road Campus organizes 'Annual Sports Day'
Lucknow, December 21 : City Montessori
School, Station Road Campus, organized a grand ‘Annual Sports Festival – Sports
Fiesta-2024’ today at the Northern Railway Stadium, Charbagh, Lucknow. The
event was inaugurated by Arjuna Awardee and Olympian Athlete Shri Gulab Chand,
who lit the ceremonial torch. On this occasion, students conveyed the message
of India Fit and Young through PT displays, Bharatiyam performances, and
various sports competitions. Addressing the large gathering, Shri Gulab Chand
emphasized that sports
are essential for the holistic development of children. He stressed that
children should be encouraged to participate in sports from an early age, and
schools and parents must work together to foster this spirit.
The
program commenced with an all-religion prayer. Students presented vibrant
educational and cultural performances that captivated the audience. The march
past and cross march past showcased a remarkable spectacle of unity and peace.
There was intense competition among students to win the maximum number of
medals, with participants showcasing their strength, determination, talent, and
abilities. Students demonstrated their sportsmanship in various competitions
such as Octopus Race, Cone Race, Santa Race, Making a Bridge Race, Collecting
the Ball Race, Hoopla and Cone Race, 50m Race, 100m Race, 200m Race, and 4x100m
Relay Race. Additionally, their versatile talents were evident in events like
yoga, taekwondo, aerobics, and choreography. The winners of the sports
competitions were honored with certificates, medals, and shields by the Chief
Guest, Shri Gulab Chand.
Ms
Deepali Gautam, Principal of CMS Station Road Campus, said that the sports
field is a place where many qualities are nurtured, and character is built.
Events like these foster a spirit of unity in life. Mrs. Gautam expressed
heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished guests and parents who graced the
occasion with their presence and boosted the morale of the students.
