Swacchta Abhiyan in CMS commences after inauguration by Dr Jagdish Gandhi


Lucknow, 1 October : Founder Manager of City Montessori School and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi today inaugurated the cleanliness drive (Swacchta Abhiyan) in all 21 CMS campuses and Head Office. Dr Gandhi started the cleanliness drive by cleaning the head office premises and motivated all the 63,000 students, their parents and CMS teachers to take part in this noble initiative. In a message to all the students, Dr Gandhi said that a healthy environment contributes to making a healthy body and a healthy mind resides only in a healthy body. Therefore, it is extremely important to pay attention to cleanliness, keeping your surroundings clean and maintaining a healthy environment. Appreciating the students’ awareness towards cleanliness, Dr Gandhi said that we are proud that our students are not just excelling in academics but are also sensitized towards community service.

               Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that CMS students from different campuses have pledged to run the cleanliness campaign actively, under which they will conduct cleanliness campaigns in their classrooms and in the entire school campus as well as in the areas around the school and will make the public aware about the importance of cleanliness. Shri Sharma further said that as a part of their social responsibility, CMS students carry out various campaigns from time to time such as creating a pollution free environment, saving water, tree plantation etc and spread awareness in the society.
