Cabinet Minister, Mr Rakesh Sachan to inaugurate Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at CMS today


 Lucknow, October 1: Cabinet Minister, Shri Rakesh Sachan, Minister for Khadi and Villages Industries, UP, will be ceremoniously inaugurating the celebrations of Gandhi Jayanti and UN International Day of Non-Violence tomorrow on Monday, 2nd October at 10 am at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. The function will commence with the garlanding of the portrait of Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi by the Chief Guest and then followed by a series of devotional songs, skits and prayer dance as part of an educational-cultural programme specially designed to throw light on the life and times of Bapu, his thoughts and deeds. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma said that the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations will spread the message of truth, self-sacrifice and non-violence in all corners of the country and the world at large.

            Mr Sharma informed that ahead of this, a huge procession of over three thousand teachers and staff of City Montessori School will be participating in a grand 'Ahimsa March' tomorrow on 2nd October, Monday to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's Jayanti declared as the UN International Day of Non-Violence. Clad in white khadi dress, CMS teachers will commence their huge March at 7.00 am from Purani Chungi, Kanpur Road to culminate into a large assembly on reaching CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Mr Sharma further informed that CMS Founders, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Bharti Gandhi and CMS President, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon along with the Principals of all CMS Campuses will be leading this March. It will also be joined by distinguished persons from the fields of education, literature, journalism etc. who will all spread the message of Bapu
