International Environment Olympiad (IEO-2021) at CMS from January 19
Lucknow, 12 January : City Montessori
School, Gomti Nagar Campus II is organizing the three-day International
Environment Olympiad (IEO-2021) online from 19 to 21 January in which the
student participants from various counties across the globe including Germany,
Jordan, Russia, Canada, Ireland, Srilanka, Nepal and various states of India
will be participating. The Olympiad will be inaugurated virtually, by the Chief
Guest, Dr Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister, UP, on 19th January. This
information has come from Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of
CMS. Mr Sharma informed that
IEO is a platform to instill and spread the firm resolve of preserving and
protecting Nature for a prosperous and peaceful world. It is a celebration of
the symbiotic bond between humans and Nature.
Mr
Sharma further informed that there will be a series of interesting contests at
this Olympiad viz., Recycle for Life Cycle (Model Making), The Hue Story
(Art Designing), Fantasy Carnival (Mask Making), Ecosperity (Garment
designing), Spread Your Wings (Choreography), Ode to Nature (Elocution),
Website Design Competition, Imagineering My Future (Re-designing the Globe),
Mysteries of Nature (Environment Quiz), Winds of Change (Future Friendly
School) and Shutter and Quill (Shoot out) etc. These competitions will be
organized in four categories which include Primary, Junior, Senior and School
level. Apart from testing their knowledge, the event will also provide the participants an opportunity to learn about
cultures and customs of others leading to World Unity and global understanding.
Mr
Sharma added that environment related problems are increasing day by day,
causing great threat to the existence of humanity on earth and something needs
to be done urgently. In this scenario, youth and students need to understand
environmental challenges and act accordingly. The Olympiad aims at creating
awareness towards the degrading environment and is surely going to be a
milestone on the way to conserving our ecosystem.
