CMS student awarded Rashtriya Bal Puraskar by Prime Minister Narendra Modi


 Lucknow, January 25 : Vyom Ahuja, a student of class VII of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I was awarded the Prime Minister Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2021 by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the eve of the Republic Day today. Vyom has been awarded this prestigious honour in the category of Art and Culture, for which he was presented a medal and a citation besides the cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-. Vyom also interacted with the Hon'ble Prime Minister via video conferencing today. 11 year old Vyom is a multi-talented boy having 35 records in his name in the field of music, General Knowledge, Science and Sports. He started playing flute when he was merely 2 and a half years old. He also plays musical instruments like mouth organ, saxophone etc. He became the youngest athlete in Asia to perform Bungee Jumping. In the year 2017 he participated in the Commonwealth chess championship. He entered the Guinness Book of World Records 28 times for his achievements in the field of music, sports and science. He also has to his name 3 Asian and 2 Universe awards too. He has been awarded Future Kalam award twice.

            After his interaction with the Prime Minister during a video conference, son of a businessman father and teacher mother, Vyom said that he was impressed with the Hon'ble Prime Minister saying that we should be humble and continue our work even after winning the award.

            The Government of India has been awarding the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to the children with exceptional abilities and outstanding accomplishments, in the fields of innovation, scholastics, sports, arts & culture, social service andbravery.

            32 children have been awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2021. The awardee children are from 32 districts of 21 States/UTs. 7 awards have been given in the field of Art & Culture, 9 awards have been given for Innovation and 5 for scholastic achievements. 7 children have won inSports category, 3 children have been felicitated for Bravery and one child has been honoured for her efforts in the field of Social Service.

            While commending the young achievers, the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind has stated in a message that “I am hopeful that Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2021 would not only motivate the winners but will also encourage millions of other young children to dream, aspire and stretch their limits. Let us all do our personal best to take our nation to new zenith of success and prosperity
